MP3 Tag Editor

Edit the title, artist, album, genre and cover art of an MP3 file. The sound is not changed: only the tag.

Your file is processed in your browser. It is never uploaded to any server.

How to edit the tags of an MP3

Choose your MP3Choose an MP3 file. The tags it already has are filled in for you.
Edit the tagsChange the title, artist, album, year, track number, genre or comment. Leave a field empty to remove it.
Add or change the coverChoose a JPEG or PNG image. A square image between 500 and 1000 pixels works well in most players.
DownloadDownload the MP3 with the new tags. You can change the file name before you download.

Only the tag changes: the sound is not re-encoded, so the quality stays exactly the same. The tags are saved as ID3v2.3, which Windows, macOS, iTunes, Android and most players and car stereos understand. The old ID3v1 tag at the end of the file is removed, so it does not show old information. If the old tag was ID3v2.3, any other data it had, such as lyrics, is kept.
