SpeedMove Speed to make it faster or slower: 100% is the original, 200% is twice as fast and 50% is half as fast.
PitchMove Pitch to raise or lower the key in semitones. Twelve semitones are one octave, and a single semitone is about a 6% change in frequency.
Separate by defaultBy default the two are independent: you can speed up a podcast without making the voice sound like a chipmunk, or transpose a song to a singer's range without changing the tempo.
Change them togetherChoose Change them together for the effect of a record or tape played faster or slower. This is what Nightcore and slowed edits use, and then the pitch follows the speed.
Preview and downloadPress Play preview to hear 30 seconds with your settings, then download the whole file as MP3 or WAV.
Changes of up to about 25% in speed or a few semitones in pitch sound natural. Larger changes can add a slight echo or warble, and drums and other sharp sounds can lose some of their punch, so it is worth listening to the preview in the busiest part of the track. Voice and sustained music give the best results.
Changing the speed also changes the length of the file: at 125% a 4:00 track lasts 3:12. The tool shows the new duration before you download. If the changed audio would be louder than the maximum a file can hold, the volume is lowered just enough to avoid distortion.
